Desmond and Mary Pat Curran, parents of our pastor, Fr. Brendan, hosted a benefit in support of the children and youth of Casa Juan Diego on Sunday, August 22 at Cork and Kerry in Chicago.

More than 80 guests - family, friends and supporters - gathered for drinks, food and presentations from Casa Juan Diego participants and staff. The annual event raises funds to support programming at the youth center, a ministry of St. Pius V Parish.

Casa Juan Diego has provided after-school and summer camp programming for young people in the Pilsen community since 1996.  Primarily serving low-income, Hispanic families, the center offers homework assistance, tutoring, a computer lab, sports and personal and social development for some 60 young people each day.
