St. Pius V Parish joined six other parishes to pray for an end to violence in our neighborhoods and for the safety of our police. This was one of five services at sunrise on Saturday, August 21, between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. at Chicago beaches.

Over 120 faithful gathered for the Mass, which began in a light drizzle and ended with the sun breaking through the clouds.

Fr. Brendan and the St. Pius V choir led the liturgy.
