St. Pius V Parish

Services for Domestic Violence Victims and Their Children

H.O.P.E. (Hay Opciones para Ella/There are Options for Her)

St. Pius V staff launched the H.O.P.E. program in 1999 as a response to the many women who were coming to the parish for help with domestic violence. H.O.P.E. has grown into the largest parish-based domestic violence program in the country with bilingual, culturally sensitive services for Hispanic women victims and their children.

Our program strives to provide victims/survivors of domestic violence comprehensive services through counseling, information and advocacy which facilitate and promote personal growth and self-empowerment in an environment of faith and spirituality. H.O.P.E. serves women in Pilsen and throughout the Chicago area.
